Do Jehovah's Witnesses Realize What They're Saying?

I have asked the question several times: If Jesus is a God, but Jehovah is the only true God, doesn’t it go without saying that Jesus is a false God? That is a question that Jehovah’s Witnesses have avoided like the plague.

Finally, a Jehovah’s Witness was kind enough to try and explain. Let me first address a smaller point he made because, in fairness to him, he is clearly a thinking person when he said.

If we should see, for example, someone being called the `true prophet', that should mean that the person so described is truly a prophet. In either case this certainly does not have to mean that all other prophets must be false.

That is absolutely correct. Compared to the prophets in Israel, during Jeremiah’s time, Jeremiah was the true prophet. It certainly does not mean that Isaiah is a false prophet. So to say the Jeremiah is the true prophet is to compare him with particular prophets at a particular time. I love it when Jehovah’s Witnesses reason well.

But, if I said that Jeremiah is the ONE and ONLY true prophet who ever lived, then ALL OTHER prophets, AUTOMATICALLY become false in my eyes.

There’s more. If I am kind enough to acknowledge Isaiah as a prophet, but then go on to say, but … do you know what the word but does? If I say, “but Jeremiah is the true prophet,” I would immediately disqualify Isaiah as a true prophet.

In our discussion we are not comparing the Father and other gods in general. This is a comparison being made between the Father and the Son. We are not discussing the Father merely being called the True God by the Watchtower, but THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE GOD EVER!

Which brings me to the bigger point made by this Jehovah’s Witness – which represents the view of Jehovah’s Witnesses in general. He said:

For God to be mentioned as the "true" God does not demand that all others called `god' or `gods' are false gods. The inspired scriptures when speaking of faithful angels, prophets, God-appointed judges, kings, and magistrates clearly calls them "gods" on occasion. These are called "gods" in the sense of faithful servants of God, representing the true God.

Did Examine 4Yourself realize that he compared the CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE to faithful angels, prophets, God-appointed judges, kings, and magistrates?

Dear Jehovah’s Witnesses, may I remind you that Jesus is the Creator of prophets, God-appointed judges, kings, and magistrates? May I remind you that when you are claiming that Jesus is not God, that you are speaking about YOUR Creator?

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
Genesis 1:1 – KJV

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God.
John 1:1 - KJV

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
Colossians 1:16 - KJV

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
John 1:3 - KJV

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. … I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. …  He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
Revelation 22:13,16,20 - KJV

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
Revelation 22:21 – KJV
